A Nigerian identified as Isaac Timi has shared his prediction for the outcome of the 2026 Osun State governorship election, projecting how the contest could play out across the state’s 30 local government areas.
According to his forecast, the incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, identified with the IMOLE camp, is expected to win 22 local government areas, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMUBO, is tipped to secure eight.
22 LGAs Predicted for Adeleke
Timi’s projection puts the following local government areas in Adeleke’s column:
Atakunmosa West, Ayedaade, Ayedire, Boripe, Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo, Ife Central, Ife East, Ife North, Ife South, Ifelodun, Ila, Ilesa East, Irepodun, Isokan, Olorunda, Oriade, Orolu, Osogbo and Obokun.
8 LGAs Projected for APC
Meanwhile, Oyebamiji is predicted to emerge victorious in eight local government areas.
They are Atakunmosa East, Boluwaduro, Ifedayo, Ilesa West, Irewole, Iwo, Odo Otin and Ola Oluwa.
Based on the projection, Adeleke would emerge as the predicted winner of the election after securing a majority of the local government areas.
The forecast comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election, with both the ruling camp and opposition parties seeking to consolidate their support across the state.
Osun has 30 local government areas, making the projected distribution an important part of the political calculations surrounding the election.
However, the prediction remains the personal assessment of Isaac Timi and does not represent an official election result or independent poll.
