Afrobeats star Davido has stepped into the growing controversy involving MC Oluomo and his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, taking a swipe at the transport union leader in a post shared on his Instagram story on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The celebrated singer directed his brief message at MC Oluomo, delivering what appeared to be a pointed response to the ongoing dispute.
Writing in pidgin English, he said: “@kingmcoluomo dem say u Dey game … I doubt lol look ur mirror.” Despite its brevity, the message attracted attention because of the circumstances surrounding the ongoing disagreement.
Davido is the nephew of Governor Adeleke, who recently announced moves to suspend NURTW operations in Osun state. The decision subsequently drew a public response from MC Oluomo.
Davido’s decision to weigh in appeared to make his position clear, as he seemingly rejected the idea that MC Oluomo had any significant influence over the unfolding matter.

MC Oluomo, whose full name is Musiliu Akinsanya, is the national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and has established himself as a prominent figure in Nigeria’s transport union politics.
Through his deputy president, Aliyu Issa Ore, Oluomo had maintained that no state governor has the authority to suspend the union’s activities. His position comes just days ahead of the Osun gubernatorial election scheduled to take place on August 15, 2026.
