Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Neche has exited the reality TV competition, with organisers now providing an explanation for her unexpected departure.
The housemate shocked viewers and her fellow contestants on Sunday, August 16, when she assembled the other housemates in the lounge and informed them that she would be leaving the show.
Her announcement reportedly came as a surprise to the contestants, particularly because she did not immediately reveal the circumstances surrounding her decision to quit the competition.
BBNaija organisers explain Neche’s exit
Following the unexpected development, the organisers addressed the situation the next day, explaining what led to Neche’s voluntary withdrawal from the show.
MultiChoice Nigeria stated that Neche chose to leave the BBNaija house because of “pressing personal matters” that needed her immediate attention.
The organisers confirmed that the reality star voluntarily exited the Season 11 house on Sunday.
In their statement, they said:
“Neche took this decision as a result of pressing personal matters, which she said required immediate attention.”
Although her exit brings her participation in the competition to an end and rules her out of the race for the grand prize, the organisers praised her contribution during her time on the show.
MultiChoice highlighted Neche’s enthusiasm, dedication and memorable achievements in the house, noting the impact she made during her stay.
The company also wished the former housemate well in her future endeavours and reassured her that she remains a member of the BBNaija family.
Neche’s sudden departure has therefore brought an early end to her Season 11 journey, with the organisers making it clear that her decision was based on personal circumstances requiring her immediate attention.
