Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, has called out the Federal Government over what she described as its failure to effectively address the worsening insecurity crisis across the country.
In an emotional outburst online, the actress directed her concerns to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that she believes the president has not done enough to tackle the growing security challenges affecting Nigerians.
Ruth Kadiri also referenced the tragic killing of a teacher, Mr. Michael Oyedokun, who was allegedly beheaded by terrorists following the kidnapping incident in Oyo State.
Recall that suspected bandits reportedly attacked communities in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, abducting 46 people, including teachers and 39 students. Reports also indicated that one of the victims was just two years old.
The actress later took to her Instagram page to express her frustration and deep concern over the disturbing security situation in the country.
She clarified that the matter was not about propaganda or attempts by political opponents to tarnish the president’s reputation, but rather the pressing need to safeguard lives and property.
“This is not propaganda! This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad. And even if they were, you can’t leave your house on fire. Dear President Tinubu, pls do something, or give us the go-ahead to protect our lives and properties. Too much death everywhere. Being a Nigerian is not even safe at home anymore.”
The actress also expressed grief over the worsening insecurity in the country, lamenting that innocent citizens are bearing the consequences of problems they had no hand in creating. She stressed that safety in Nigeria has deteriorated to the point where people no longer feel secure even in their own homes.
“Too many innocent lives are paying for sins they know nothing about. @officialasiwajubat.”
Ruth Kadiri’s statement adds to the increasing wave of concern and frustration among Nigerians over the security situation, particularly following the heartbreaking school abduction incident in Oyo State that left many shaken.
