A man whose identity is yet to be confirmed has gone viral after releasing a video in which he claims responsibility for dispatching the parcel that contained the pistol linked to 28-year-old Mene Ogidi.
In the video, he stated that he delivered the package to the now-deceased Ogidi, who was later shot and killed by a Delta State police officer, ASP Nuhu Usman.
While making the confession, the man insisted he had no involvement in any killing. He added that he voluntarily reported to the police station to give a formal statement regarding the matter.
He said:
“Nigerians I wan confess. That gun wey that guy go collect that day wey dem kill the guy, nah me waybill am. Nah me waybill the gun that day but normally, no be me kill person oh but nah me waybill the gun.
“I don already come station to write statements, I don write statements about everything wey happen say na me waybill the gun but no be me kill the guy. I dey station like this, i don write statements about everything wey happen.”
Reacting to this new development on the case, Police Media Officer Aliyu Giwa took to his X handle and wrote:
