A Nigerian businesswoman popularly known as Bebe Jewelry or Bebe Orji has reportedly died after collapsing inside a commercial store in China.
A CCTV video circulating widely on social media shows the businesswoman seated inside the store before she suddenly appeared to become distressed.
In the footage, Bebe Jewelry was seen touching her chest and appearing to seek the attention of people nearby. She subsequently fell from her chair and landed on the floor.
Despite her collapse, people inside the store appeared not to immediately approach her. One of the attendants was seen using a phone, apparently making a call, while Bebe remained on the floor.
The disturbing footage has since generated reactions across social media, with many Nigerians expressing sadness over the reported death and questioning whether she received timely medical assistance.
Bebe Jewelry was reportedly popular among Nigerians on platforms including TikTok and Facebook, where she shared content relating to her business activities.
However, details surrounding her death remain unclear. The exact location of the store has not been independently established, while the cause of death has also not been officially confirmed.
As of Monday, August 17, no statement from her family or Nigerian diplomatic authorities had been reported regarding the incident.
