Nigerian actress and social media influencer, Aluko Olukemi Gold, popularly known as Diva Gold, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the passing of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.
Following the heartbreaking news of the actor’s death, Diva Gold took to her Instagram page to express her pain and reflect on the memorable experiences she shared with Alexx Ekubo.
She recounted how the late actor was always willing to lend a helping hand and revealed that his encouragement inspired her to keep pushing forward in the entertainment industry.
Although she only met Alexx Ekubo once, Diva Gold said she always looked forward to spending time with him because he treated her like the elder brother she never had.
She wrote:
“PRESIDOOOOO 😭 you didn’t tell your sec general you were leaving that thing good ? You made me feel so comfortable I wish I could show the world how you were a shoulder I leaned on, you were fighting a battle and you didn’t think I could be there to fight with you? I met you just ONCE but I always looked forward to sharing every moment with you because you were that OLDER BROTHER I NEVER HAD, your response to me is what has kept me going till date if I knew that was that very LAST MESSAGE I FOR FIND YOU COME HOUSE just to vibe with you again. I Dey shoot content na him I see this news, you no go like reply me ? 😭 I’ve never posted somebody like this on my PAGE. I’m broken 😞 YOU MEAN A LOT TO ME AND THANK YOU FOR ACCOMMODATING THIS LITTLE NOVICE ACTOR on set. Your memory with me I’ll cherish. My PRESIDENT, IKUKU I MISS U SIR who i go gist now ?!!! Nawa 😭.”
Furthermore, she shared details of her final conversations with Alexx Ekubo on Instagram. According to her, the late actor had initially been responding to her messages, but stopped replying completely in November 2025.
