Nigerian talent manager Kazeem Kola has paid an emotional tribute to late Nollywood actress Temitope Kofoworola Osoba, sharing details of their final conversation before her death.
In a post on Facebook, Kazeem said he was deeply shocked by the news, revealing that just weeks earlier, the actress had reached out to him about managing her career as she worked to rebuild her brand after surviving breast cancer.
According to him, Osoba contacted him after discovering that he worked as a talent manager.
During their conversation, she spoke about her previous experiences with managers, expressing disappointment that some were more interested in taking a share of existing deals than creating new opportunities for her.
She also disclosed that her acting career had slowed significantly following her battle with breast cancer, and she was eager to revive it.
Kazeem said he explained his approach to talent management, telling her that a good manager should focus on securing endorsements, partnerships, and fresh opportunities instead of relying solely on a talent’s existing popularity.
Their discussion ended on a hopeful note, with plans to work together in the future. Sadly, that collaboration never came to pass.
In his tribute, Kazeem described Tope Osoba as a hardworking and determined woman who remained committed to rebuilding her career despite the challenges she faced.
He said it was heartbreaking that they had been making plans together only a few weeks before her passing.
