Ikeja Electric has issued a public notice informing customers of a power outage affecting several feeders across Lagos, following severe flooding at the Oworonsoki 132/33kV Transmission Station.
The notice, signed by the management of Ikeja Electric and posted on the company’s official X handle on June 30, 2026, disclosed that the flooding had affected two power transformers and several 33kV/11kV feeders, resulting in electricity outage across multiple communities served by the affected feeders.
According to the notice, the following feeders have been impacted by the outage:

- 11-OworoINJ-T1-Bariga
- 33-OworonshokiTCN-ALAPERE
- 11-OworoINJ-T2-Oworo
- 11-OworoINJ-T3-Gbagada
- 11-OworoINJ-T2-Pedro
- 11-OworoINJ-T3-GTB
- 11-OworoINJ-T3-Anthony
- 11-AlapereINJ-T1-Agboyi
- 11-OworoINJ-T1-Ifako
- 11-AlapereINJ-T1-Araba
- 11-OworoINJ-T1-Hospital
- 11-AlapereINJ-T1-Bakare.
The affected areas span several prominent Lagos communities including Bariga, Gbagada, Oworo, Alapere, Agboyi, Ifako, Araba and Anthony, among others, meaning a significant number of residential and commercial customers are currently without electricity supply.
Ikeja Electric assured customers that it is working closely with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to restore power supply as soon as the transmission facilities are back in service, though no specific timeline for restoration was provided in the notice.
The electricity distribution company also tendered an apology to affected customers, stating:
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.”
