Businessman Isaac Fayose has shared tragic news via his Instagram page on Saturday, May 16, 2026, announcing the death of his wife after a battle with cancer.
The younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, broke the heartbreaking news months after previously revealing that his wife had been seriously ill earlier this year.
In another emotional post, the Nigerian businessman shared photos of his late wife alongside a short, heartfelt caption in Yoruba.
“Odabo Oyinbo mi.”
The sad development has since sparked reactions online, with many people expressing their condolences and sympathies over the passing of Fayose’s wuife.
Following the heartbreaking news, many Nigerians revisited an emotional video Fayose shared in March after travelling to Australia to visit his family.
In the clip, the businessman revealed that his wife had become seriously ill after battling cancer and was too weak to handle simple daily tasks.
Speaking emotionally, Fayose explained that the woman who would usually welcome him warmly at the airport was unable to do so because of her condition.
“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak,” he had said. “The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber.”
He also opened up about how their responsibilities had suddenly changed as he took on the role of caring for her. “She used to cook for me, but now I find myself cooking for her. She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang.”
