Former BBNaija star, Pere Egbi, has joined the growing list of personalities and celebrities paying tribute online to Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, who recently passed away after a long battle with cancer.
According to reports, the family of the deceased disclosed that Alexx Ekubo died from complications related to his long-managed kidney cancer.
Pere, who appeared to have shared a close relationship with Alexx while he was alive, took to Instagram to express his shock and sorrow over the actor’s passing.
In the post, the reality TV star shared screenshots of his last messages with Alexx Ekubo, revealing moments where he checked in on the late actor. Pere explained that he had consistently reached out to Alexx to see how he was coping after stepping away from social media.
The caption of the post reads: “Jesus!!!!!! Jesus… this one hurts.
I had the nudge to reach out to you months ago, just to check on you and pray for you. You didn’t say much… but now that moment means even more to me.
Life is short. Please check on people while you still can.
