The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 6, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has joined many others in paying tribute to late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo following his recent passing.
It was officially disclosed by the late actor’s family that he died on May 11 at Evercare Hospital in Lekki, Lagos, due to complications caused by advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
As a close colleague of the deceased, Whitemoney also shared a screenshot of a chat showing that he had reached out to Alexx Ekubo during the period the actor stepped away from social media to check on his well-being.
In an emotional post shared on his Instagram page, Whitemoney wrote:
“Ahh 😱, high chief ikuku, RIP BROTHER…. This one pain me oooo ahh😱.”

The comment section of the post was flooded with messages from fans and well-wishers expressing their condolences to the late actor’s family and praying for his peaceful rest.
Some also asked why he was constantly telling people he was okay despite battling something as serious cancer.
