An account on Elon Musk’s X platform, identified as @StatiSense, has released a list of notable NURTW officials who were reportedly assassinated in Lagos State, amid the mourning that followed the death of Toba Ijaya, the late NURTW Organizing Secretary.
The list surfaced online following the tragic death of Toba Ajiboye, popularly known as Toba Ijaya. The NURTW chieftain was reportedly targeted and ambushed while returning from his childhood neighbourhood in Fadeyi.
He reportedly sustained severe gunshot injuries during the attack, which was allegedly carried out by suspected assailants.
According to reports, Toba was still conscious when he was rescued from the scene and rushed to a hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the attack.
The development has once again drawn attention to the violent deaths of several prominent figures within the NURTW in Lagos State over the years.
