Brian-Todd Anthony Boucher, the 43-year-old actor known for his role in the 2024 biographical film Bob Marley: One Love, was shot dead on Saturday night in Waterford, St Catherine, Jamaica, only hours after arriving in the country.
Boucher, who was also known by the aliases “Ajoy” and “Ras Ajai,” had travelled from New York earlier that day.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the actor was walking with a 37-year-old companion along a road in Waterford when a vehicle carrying armed men pulled up beside them.
One of the occupants reportedly stepped out, opened fire on the pair, returned to the vehicle, and fled the scene.
Boucher was rushed to the Spanish Town General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His companion survived the attack and remains under medical observation.
News of the actor’s death quickly spread across social media, with fans and members of the entertainment community expressing shock and paying tribute to him.
