Social media influencer Olawuni Oluwapelumi Abike, popularly known as Abike Shuga, has spoken about her fallout with Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham.
Abike, who gained more visibility after appearing in Toyin Abraham’s film Malaika, shared her experience in a trending video, where she recounted working on the 2021 movie Ijakumo.
According to her, she was paid N50,000 for the role but later discovered that her scenes were not included in the final version of the film.
She explained that she accepted the role in good faith, believing it would help strengthen her working relationship with the actress.
However, she said she was shocked when she attended the movie premiere and realised her scenes had been removed.
Abike also alleged that she and other content creators were invited to the premiere to support Toyin Abraham’s first cinema release, without knowing that their appearances had been cut from the movie.
Comparing her experience, the influencer mentioned projects she worked on with Funke Akindele, claiming the actress paid between $600 and $800 for promotional roles, including work on She Must Be Obeyed.
She further revealed that she had allegedly declined a project with Funke Akindele in order to feature in Toyin Abraham’s production, thinking it would offer a better opportunity.

Reacting to the claims, Toyin Abraham stated that she paid Abike N500,000 for Malaika and N50,000 for two scenes in Ijakumo, adding that the decision to remove those scenes was made by the film’s director.
