A woman who says she previously worked closely with embattled social media personality Odogwu Asaba has come forward to give her account of the sexual assault allegations currently being levelled against him.
The controversy surrounding the content creator has continued to dominate social media, with several videos circulating online after he was accused of allegedly assaulting a 20-year-old lady.
Speaking in a video posted on Instagram, the woman, who introduced herself as Queen but said she is popularly known as Omojo, disclosed that she worked as a salesgirl for Odogwu Asaba before leaving the job in April.
To support her claim, she shared a video showing herself and Odogwu Asaba working together.
At the beginning of her statement, Queen stressed that she was not connected to the ongoing controversy in any way.
“I don’t have a hand in what is happening to him now,” She stated firmly, distancing herself from the controversy.
Queen shares more about Odogwu Asaba
Although she admitted she had seen reports of the allegations making the rounds online, Queen explained that the news did not come as a surprise to her.
According to her, the accusations were consistent with what she believed she already knew about Odogwu Asaba’s personality.
“I saw it, but e no shock me like e shock yo people because I know the kind of person he is,” she said in the video.
Queen also spoke about the expectations from those who wanted her to address the issue publicly. She explained that she had now shared her thoughts and had no intention of making any further comments on the matter.
In what became the most notable part of her remarks, Queen argued that it took the complainant’s death for many people to begin believing the allegations.
“If to say that girl never kpia, una no go believe her,” she said, implying the public had been unwilling to take the complainant seriously while she was alive.
