An old post shared by the late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has resurfaced online, stirring fresh emotions and deepening the grief of fans as tributes continue to pour in.
It was earlier reported that Alexx Ekubo passed away on Monday, 11, 2026, at a hospital in Lagos after a prolonged battle with liver cancer. Since the confirmation of his death, the Nigerian entertainment industry has been overwhelmed with emotional messages, reflections, and memories celebrating the life of the beloved film star.
The resurfaced 2020 Facebook post has drawn renewed attention from Nigerians, especially as it highlights the hopes and dreams he openly shared during his lifetime.
In the post, he expressed his excitement about becoming a father one day and experiencing fatherhood with his future children.
He wrote: “Dear God of Children, I can’t wait to have kids, so I can call them from their room in the other wing of the mansion to come & pass me the remote control right next to me on the couch.”
He added: “Father Lord, you already know I’m user friendly, use me oh Lord, at the right time of course. Team #MarriageBeforeKids.”
The renewed attention to the post came after a recent revelation from Grace Makun, the wife of popular fashion designer Yomi Casual.
While paying tribute to the late actor, she implied that Alexx Ekubo may have been secretly married prior to his reported passing.
In her heartfelt message, she also noted that his “wife,” together with his parents, siblings, colleagues, close associates, and fans, would all deeply miss him.
