Ayomide, the daughter of late popular Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi has triggered a buzz online courtesy of a recent tribute to him.
The young lady took to her TikTok handle where she posted a video of herself merged with other clips of her late father.
Murphy Afolabi tragically passed away in 2023 after falling to his death in the bathroom. His sudden demise rocked social media especially due to his appreciable young age (49 years).
She accompanied the video with a caption that read:
“I know my dad might have decayed but he once looked like this.”
She added:
“Oh mine
It’s been 3 years, Dad… yet somehow it still feels like yesterday. We miss you more than words can say, but we remain so grateful for your life and the love you poured into us. Continue to rest in perfect peace.”
Although her post seemed like a harmless memorial, some cybernauts were quick to pick out a fault.
Under the comment section of an IG blog that reposted the video, netizens vented, noting that her choice of words were nice (particularly the first part).
Commenting, One @success29hub wrote: “Damn, I will and can never ever describe my dead father in such manner this is crazy.”
