Naya Ekubo, the niece of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, has shared an emotional message on her Instagram page, bidding farewell to her late relative.

After initial speculations, the family of Alexx Ekubo later clarified that the actor died from complications linked to advanced metastatic kidney cancer, which he had been battling for quite some time.
In an Instagram post shared on May 15, 2026, Naya Ekubo, a close relative of the late actor, expressed her grief and sorrow over his passing. She also reflected on fond memories and meaningful moments she shared with her uncle before his death.
She described Alexx as a friendly person who was easy to talk to, adding that she had looked forward to more moments together and the opportunity to continue the close bond they shared.
