Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has refuted allegations of domestic violence leveled against him. The cleric stated unequivocally that he does not lay hands on his wife or children.
In a viral video, an outspoken young girl posed a critical question to Pastor Olukoya, asking whether his long-standing claim of not expressing anger since 1974 meant he had never fought with or physically abused his wife during their marriage.
He responded: “You are correct. I don’t beat my wife. I don’t beat my son. I don’t beat anybody. But if something is not right, we sit down and talk.”
He used the opportunity to stress that domestic violence is unacceptable, adding that conflicts should be resolved through calm and respectful communication.
He added: “If your dad is shouting at your mom and beating your mom, it’s wrong. If you hit your mom and shout at her, it’s wrong. It’s not right.”
When asked by the young girl how he handles disagreements or pressure from friends, Olukoya explained that he mostly chooses to walk away and pray in the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Daniel Olukoya also clarified the meaning behind the widely known “Die by Fire” prayer associated with the ministry. According to him, the prayer was never intended to symbolize violence but rather serves as a spiritual declaration against forces of destruction.
