Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) retail outlets have adjusted the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, across the country.
This development comes just three days after Dangote Refinery reduced its petrol gantry price by N85, bringing it down to N1,200 per litre from N1,285.
According to Legit.ng, checks show that petrol is now being sold at N1,255 per litre, a drop from the previous N1,330, indicating a reduction of N75.
In Abuja, NNPCL filling stations also adjusted their pump price to N1,295 per litre, down from N1,361, reflecting a decrease of N71 in the Federal Capital Territory.
A pump attendant, Kunle Ademola, who works in the Egbeda area of Lagos, confirmed the adjustment, saying:
“Petrol prices was slashed over the weeekends to N1,255 and it is the same in almost all outlets.”
Further findings show that the new prices vary slightly across different states.
