A new video circulating online captures a young couple who were reportedly kidnapped in Edo state.
Activist Harrison Gwamnishu took to his Instagram page where he posted a video showing the man and his wife, soliciting for help, noting that the abductors are demanding N50M as ransom.
As the couples spoke, 2 AK-47 rifles pointed at them side by side while being clicked repeatedly to instill fear in them.
According to Harrison Gwamnishu, the video was sent to the family of the victims.
Another scene attached to the clip showed the man’s brother showing where the kidnap took place.
He noted that some people who witnessed the incident said they saw Fulani herdsmen leading the couple into the bush at night.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Harrison Gwamnishu wrote:
“Armed Kidnappers sent video to family of husband and wife kidnapped from Aviele Community near Auchi Edo State. The kidnappers are demanding for ransom.Â
I am alerting the Federal Government, State Government to swiftly respond faster and restore peace to our communities.”
