Late Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo is to be laid to rest on Thursday, 18th June 2026 and as expected arrangements and preparations are almost at its final stages.
In a recent development, photos emerged online showing the moment Alexx Ekubo’s remains was released by from a funeral home in Lagos as it heads to Arochukwu, Abia State for burial.
The photos showed the casket which apparently had Alexx’s corpse.
A single document – Corpse release form was also attached to the post. It showed private information about the deceased including his house address, age, gender, and place of death.
IK Ogbonna, who maintained a very close relationship with Alexx Ekubo while he was alive was the one who received/collected the corpse according to the document.
Sharing the post, the TikTok user wrote:
“The body of Alex Ekubo departs Lagos State to his hometown, Arochukwu, Abia state where he will be laid to rest tomorrow, 18th June, 2026.
His corpse was collected by his best friend, Ik Ogbonna
May his soul rest in peace.”

The emergence of these photos and documents subsequently elicited comments online with some frowning at the exposure.
