A Nigerian lady identified as Ujuaku Big on TikTok has opened up about an unusual development in her marriage, sharing what she described as a striking personal experience involving her husband.
In a video that has now gone viral on TikTok, she added a caption explaining that her husband, who was once a devout Catholic and chorister, has surprisingly embraced traditional practices over the course of their marriage.
The caption read:
“Married a strong Catholic man (Chorister) that later turned into a traditional man. Please who else is in the same situation too or am I the only one.”
In the clip, the woman’s husband was seen preparing their two young children for school. However, what quickly drew attention and sparked conversation was his action during the routine.
He was seen bringing out traditional materials and rubbing them on the children’s hands, an act that may be understood as a protective gesture within his traditional belief system.
