Moments after announcing basic adjustments on the UTME timetable, the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board has released an additional update for candidates.
Recall that on Monday, April 13, JAMB introduced a slight changes to the daily session structure just days before the nationwide exam begins at accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
Under the revised schedule, candidates will sit for the exam in four sessions each day from Monday to Thursday.
Session 1 will run from 8:30am to 10:30am, followed by Session 2 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Session 3 is slated for 1:30pm to 3:30pm, while Session 4 will take place between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.
Candidates are also required to arrive earlier than their exam time.
Reporting times have been fixed at 7:00am (as against the previous 6:30am) for the first session, 9:00am for the second, 11:00am for the third, and 2:00pm for the final session.
For Fridays, the timetable remains mostly unchanged but includes a key adjustment.
While Session 1 and Session 2 will follow the same timing as other weekdays, Session 3 has been designated as reserved, scheduled between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Session 4 will still hold from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
In a follow-up post made late on Monday night, the board informed candidates that the UTME timetable for Monday to Thursday is also applicable to Saturday exams.
JAMB’s post on X read:
“Dear Candidates, kindly note that the newly adjusted 2026 UTME timetable for Monday to Thursday examination sessions is also applicable to examination schedules for Saturday. Thank you.”
