Nigerian fashion designer Prudent Gabriel Peterson has recounted a disturbing incident she said occurred at her fashion academy several years ago.
The designer shared the experience on Thursday, September 25, 2026, describing how a student was allegedly found carrying out what appeared to be a ritual at the entrance of her classroom in the middle of the night.
According to Prudent, the incident happened between 2am and 3am while other students were asleep.
Student allegedly found at classroom entrance
Prudent Gabriel said the student was discovered bathing at the entrance of the classroom during the early hours of the morning.
She claimed the student had a red rope tied around her waist and was allegedly accompanied by a calabash and feathers.
The revelation quickly generated reactions online, with social media users expressing surprise over the alleged incident and questioning what may have motivated the student’s actions.
However, Prudent did not identify the student involved or reveal the exact year the incident took place. She only stated that it happened “a few years ago.”
The designer presented the experience as a warning to other business owners rather than an attempt to publicly identify or expose the student.
Prudent urges entrepreneurs to remain prayerful
While reflecting on the incident, Prudent encouraged people running businesses to remain vigilant.
“As a business owner be very prayerful,” she wrote in her post.
Her account attracted considerable attention on Instagram, with some of her followers sharing stories of unusual or suspicious behaviour they claimed to have encountered in their own homes and workplaces.
Others said the story served as a reminder for business owners to be mindful of the people they allow into their establishments.
Prudent’s account, however, represents her description of the incident, and she did not provide further details about what ultimately happened to the student.
