One of the loyal fans of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has reportedly passed away while helping to make arrangements for the actor’s funeral.
The Nigerian movie industry was thrown into mourning a few weeks ago following the announcement of Alexx Ekubo’s death by his family.
The actor had reportedly been battling cancer privately and chose not to disclose details of his health condition to friends and colleagues before his eventual passing.
In a recent post, one of Alexx Ekubo’s fan pages on Instagram revealed that Matilda, a devoted supporter of the late actor, has also died.
According to the post, Matilda served as the key link between Alexx Ekubo’s family and his fans before her sudden death.
Providing further insight, the post revealed that Matilda was among the founding members of Alexx Ekubo’s fan club and was affectionately known as “Iyá Ibadan,” a nickname the actor often used for her during his live broadcasts.
She was remembered as a compassionate, dedicated, and generous individual who consistently supported others. Before her passing, she had been in regular contact with the late actor’s family and was actively helping to coordinate activities among members of his fan community.
While coordinating funeral plans with the actor’s family, she reportedly passed away last week. Details surrounding her death remain uncertain, as it has not been confirmed whether an accident occurred before the tragic incident.
