Pastor Awoniyi Moses Ibidapo, who served as the pastor in charge of the headquarters of Christ Second Coming Gospel Assembly (CSCGA), has died.
The respected cleric passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, according to a funeral announcement issued by the church.
CSCGA described Pastor Awoniyi as a devoted servant of God whose life was dedicated to Christian ministry, the teaching of the faith and service to the church.
Funeral service held in Ilesa
The funeral service for the late pastor took place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at his residence in CHD 8, Bonnke Quarter, behind Homage Hotel, Ilesa, Osun State.
The ceremony brought together members of his family, fellow church members, religious leaders, friends and other members of the community who came to pay their final respects.

In its tribute, CSCGA reflected on Pastor Awoniyi’s years of service and the influence he had on those around him.
The church said his teachings and contributions to the ministry would continue to have an impact even after his death.
CSCGA also referenced Revelation 14:13 while mourning the cleric:
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
The church further prayed for the late pastor to rest until the resurrection and eventual reunion with fellow believers.

News of Pastor Ibidapo’s death also generated reactions on Facebook, with several commenters expressing sympathy to his family and praying for them during the period of mourning.
Some of those who reacted also remembered him for his commitment to Christianity and his years of service within the church.
