A new video has surfaced online showing the recently rescued schoolchildren and teachers who were abducted by suspected bandits in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
On July 10, 2026, reports confirming the rescue of the kidnap victims brought immense relief to Nigerians, who had repeatedly expressed concern over the welfare of the captives since they were abducted.
According to multiple reports, the pupils and their teachers, who had spent 56 days in captivity, finally regained their freedom following a successful rescue operation carried out by Nigeria’s security operatives.
A recently released video from the aftermath of the rescue captured the female principal, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, in an emotional moment as she spoke with security personnel at the scene.
In the clip, security operatives were seen helping the children into a police truck while the principal sat in the front seat. She broke down in tears before turning to one of the soldiers who was comforting her and asking him a question.
Surprisingly, she asked about her car. In response, the soldier assured her that they would recover the vehicle, which appeared to have been taken away by the bandits during the kidnapping.
Furthermore, A Facebook user identified as MC ehisoso made a post perceived to be sarcastic about the question asked by the female principal.
He wrote: “This was the moment this female Principal that was also released along side with OYO Schoolchildren and other teachers asked this military officer “where is my CAR?”
Military Officer: That is not a problem at all. You will see your car
ME: I became very emotional when she asked of her CAR Probably she has been thinking about that CAR even when she was still in the førest with the Førest Traders (Bañðits).”
