Billionaire businessman Deji Adeleke has joined the celebration following his younger brother Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the Osun State governorship election.
Deji, who is the father of Afrobeats superstar Davido, hosted a victory celebration on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in honour of the governor after he secured another term in office.
The businessman, known for maintaining a relatively private and reserved lifestyle, surprised guests and social media users when he joined the celebration and showed off his dance moves.
Videos from the event quickly circulated online, with many Nigerians amused to see Deji Adeleke displaying his dancing skills while celebrating his younger brother’s electoral victory.
The moment also reignited conversations about the Adeleke family’s well-known passion for dancing.
Governor Adeleke has earned the nickname “Dancing Governor” because of his frequent dance performances at public events and political gatherings.
His brother’s performance at the victory party appeared to reinforce the perception that dancing runs deep in the Adeleke family.
Deji had earlier attracted attention during the Osun governorship election after he was seen at his polling unit to cast his vote without the elaborate display often associated with wealthy public figures.
His decision to celebrate his brother’s victory by personally joining the dancing further highlighted the close relationship between the siblings.
The victory celebration came after Adeleke was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), securing 511,067 votes to defeat APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
The governor’s victory earned him a second term in office and triggered celebrations among members of the Adeleke family and their supporters.
