Preparations have intensified in Abia State ahead of the burial and final farewell ceremonies for late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, as fresh photos from the state continue to circulate online.
The beloved actor lost his battle with cancer, leaving family, friends, and colleagues mourning his passing.
Earlier, a Service of Songs was organised in his honour in Lagos State, drawing a large gathering of entertainers and well-wishers who came together to celebrate his life and legacy.
The memorial event also brought public attention to his private life after his wife was introduced, surprising many fans who were unaware that he had been married.
The revelation sparked conversations online, with many noting how successfully he had kept that aspect of his life away from public scrutiny.
Images currently making the rounds on Instagram show some of the late actor’s closest associates already on ground in Abia State as arrangements for his funeral continue.
Among those spotted were actor IK Ogbonna and businessman Francis Nwaogwugu Udochukwu, the owner of Vintage Motors, alongside several other associates.
The group appeared to be inspecting and coordinating activities at the venue, standing before a massive marquee while discussing plans and logistics for the events scheduled to take place during the burial proceedings.
In the photographs, IK Ogbonna was seen dressed in black, reflecting the sombre mood surrounding the occasion. Francis Nwaogwugu Udochukwu, on the other hand, wore white, while the other men present were also clad in black attire as they joined in the preparations.
