Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo’s relative, David Udochukwu Ekubo, has openly demanded answers regarding the events surrounding the actor’s reported illness and death.
In a recent post shared on Instagram, David Ekubo expressed concern over the circumstances leading to Alexx’s death, saying the family is entitled to know exactly what transpired.
“What happened to Alex? Who took him to the hospital? When did he get to the hospital? Was he alive when he got to the hospital? We want to know,” he wrote.
According to David, his quest for answers has nothing to do with inheritance or any assets the late actor may have owned, but is solely driven by a desire for transparency and justice.
“My concern has absolutely nothing to do with Alex’s property. I neither know what properties he had nor am I interested in them. Alex was the only son of his father, who is still alive, and he had no male sibling to stand up for him. As an Ekubo I have every right to seek answers about the circumstances surrounding his death,” he stated.
David also reflected on conversations he had with Alexx before his death, explaining that the actor never gave the impression that he was battling any illness.
“During one of our calls, I asked him about the rumours that he had left social media because he was sick. What started as a voice call was personally switched by Alex to a video call. He told me to look at him carefully and asked, ‘Do I look sick to you?’ From what I personally observed during that conversation, he did not appear ill,” David explained.
He went on to question claims that Alexx had been diagnosed with cancer, wondering how the alleged illness could have advanced so rapidly. David also pointed to what he described as a blood patch on the actor’s left eye, saying it raised further concerns.
“We are not interested in fabricated documents or speculation; we simply want the truth and official records that will answer the many questions surrounding Alex’s death,” he added.
