The Rock Word Church and Dominion International have announced the death of their founder and senior pastor, Adamson Aromaegbe, who passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026.
The announcement was contained in an official public notice released by the church leadership on Sunday, August 23, and signed by Reverend Nnamdy Echezona on behalf of the church.
Church Mourns Founder
The church described Pastor Aromaegbe as a faithful servant of God who dedicated his life to ministry and positively impacted countless lives through his work as a visionary leader, teacher, mentor and Kingdom builder.
Members of the church and the wider Dominion International family have been left mourning the death of the prominent cleric, whose ministry was built around spreading the Christian faith and developing other believers.
Despite the grief surrounding his passing, the church said his death should also be viewed through the hope of eternal life.
“Though we deeply miss his physical presence, we rejoice in the hope we have in Christ and celebrate a life well lived, a race well run, and a legacy that will continue for generations,” the statement read.
Ministry Will Continue
The church leadership also assured members that the vision established by Pastor Aromaegbe would not come to an end following his death.
According to the statement, the work of advancing God’s Kingdom would continue, while members were encouraged to pray for the late pastor’s family and the church during the difficult period.
The leadership said Aromaegbe’s contributions to the ministry would remain part of the church’s legacy for years to come.
Church Quotes Bible Passage
The statement concluded with a scripture from 2 Timothy 4:7, reflecting on the life and service of the late pastor.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
The Rock Word Church said the full programme for Dr Adamson Aromaegbe’s Celebration of Life would be announced at a later date.
