Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has finally broken her silence following the death of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, with an emotional tribute to the late actor.
Toyin Abraham took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to mourn Ogogo and revealed how difficult it was for her to come to terms with his passing.
The actress wrote:
“It’s very hard to say goodbye and type RIP baba mi owon 🙏🖤.”
Her brief but emotional message touched many of her fans, who noted the personal nature of her tribute.
Toyin Changes Display Picture
Beyond her written tribute, Toyin Abraham also paid a more personal tribute by changing her Instagram display picture to a photograph of Ogogo.
The gesture further highlighted the bond and respect she shared with the late veteran actor.
Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling cancer. He was buried in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, August 24, according to Islamic rites.
Ogogo’s Daughter Reacts
Toyin’s tribute also caught the attention of Ogogo’s family.
The late actor’s daughter, Kira, spotted the post and responded in the comment section with love emojis, seemingly acknowledging the actress’s heartfelt message.
Ogogo’s death has continued to generate an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, fans and other Nigerians who admired his decades-long contribution to Yoruba cinema.
