In the trending footage, only a handful of people said to be three individuals were seen standing in line for Ned Nwoko, while the queue for Okowa appeared much larger.
The video quickly generated conversations across social media platforms as many users compared the visible support both politicians received at the primary venue.
Nigerians mock turnout
A number of commenters made jokes about the development, with some claiming the few people in Nwoko’s queue may not even have understood the purpose of the gathering.
Others argued that if such treatment could happen among members of the same political party, then rival parties might face even more intense political battles.
Some social media users also brought up Nwoko’s former marriage to Regina Daniels, suggesting the actress had regained her peace after the relationship ended. Some also insinuated that Regina Daniels was the force behind his success.
Others compared the turnout to the support reportedly received by Cubana Chief Priest during the APC primaries, saying the businessman appeared to attract more supporters.
Recall that Regina Daniels had earlier announced the collapse of her marriage to Ned Nwoko, alleging she experienced abuse in the relationship. The situation later escalated online as both parties exchanged accusations through social media posts.
