Qatar has officially announced that citizens of only five countries are eligible to enter the country without a visa in 2026.
The visa exemption applies solely to nationals of member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Qatar: List of 5 visa-free countries
Based on information published on Qatar’s official visa guidance page, passport holders from the following countries can travel to Qatar without obtaining a visa:
1. Bahrain.
2. Kuwait.
3. Oman.
4. Saudi Arabia.
5. United Arab Emirates.
Citizens of every other country must obtain the appropriate visa either before travelling or, where applicable, upon arrival, depending on their nationality and Qatar’s entry regulations.
Qatar visa: What other travellers must know
Travellers whose countries are not included on the visa-free list are encouraged to check Qatar’s entry requirements before finalising their travel plans.
Qatar’s official portal provides detailed information on the different visa categories, the documentation applicants are expected to submit, and the process for securing approval before departure.
Visitors are also advised to confirm their eligibility through Qatar’s official channels, as entry requirements may change over time and can differ depending on the type of passport being used.
