Peller’s mother has publicly praised Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, opening up about their long-standing friendship that began years before her son became famous.
In a video shared online, she described the actress as a kind-hearted woman and a devoted mother, while addressing conversations sparked by Iyabo Ojo’s close relationship with Peller’s family during his recent wedding.
According to Peller’s mother, she first met Iyabo through work, and the actress often showed her family generosity without being asked.
She recalled that whenever Iyabo travelled to London, she would return with clothes and gifts for her children. The two women also spent a lot of time together and regularly attended events.
She explained that their friendship was interrupted after her grandmother advised her to leave acting and focus on raising her children, especially her son, Habeeb, who frequently fell ill.
“She advised me to step away from acting for a while and focus on raising them. After thinking about it, I made the difficult decision to leave acting and devote my time to my children.”
Years later, the two reunited at an event hosted by OGTV. Peller’s mother recalled that Iyabo immediately recognised her and warmly welcomed her back.
“Kudi, where have you been? I’ve been looking for you!”
She also revealed that their relationship was much deeper than many people realised, adding that she once lived in Iyabo Ojo’s home and helped care for her children, Festus and Priscilla, alongside the family’s domestic staff.
Ending her tribute, she prayed for the actress and her family, saying:
“My prayer is that she continues to enjoy the fruits of her labour. May God protect her and her children, and may she never experience the pain of losing any of them.”
