Nigerians on social media have identified the woman who appeared alongside popular Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard as speculation surrounding his troubled marriage to actress Peggy Ovire continues to intensify.
The controversy gained momentum after Peggy publicly addressed the situation in the early hours of Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Through a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, the actress accused her estranged husband of intentionally stalling their ongoing divorce process.
Peggy also made serious allegations against the actor, claiming he is engaged in an affair with a married woman who has children.
To support her claims, the actress shared a video showing Frederick in the company of a woman during comedian Funnybone’s recent comedy event held in Lagos.
She further reinforced her position by reposting a cryptic message she had originally shared in February 2026.
In the resurfaced post, Peggy raised concerns about remaining in a marriage where a husband is allegedly involved with a married woman. She also stated that the woman at the centre of the issue had initially been introduced to her merely as a “friend.”
