Nollywood actor and filmmaker Frederick Leonard has once again become a trending topic, this time following fresh developments surrounding his marriage to actress Peggy Ovire.
Recent reports indicated that Ovire sparked widespread conversations online after suggesting that her divorce from Leonard had been finalised. The update came just weeks after she publicly accused the actor of being unfaithful during their marriage.
On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the actress took to her Instagram Story, where she shared a series of posts celebrating the reported milestone.
A day later, on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Ovire also posted a video of herself on Snapchat with the caption: “Miss Peggy Ovire.”
Following her posts, many fans and well-wishers visited Frederick Leonard’s official Instagram page to express their support for the actor.
Leonard acknowledged several of the messages, responding to some supporters by thanking them for their encouragement and kind words.
It would be recalled that Peggy Ovire had earlier accused Frederick Leonard of engaging in an affair with a married woman while also calling on him to appear in court for the dissolution of their marriage.
The actress further alleged that although Leonard was the one who initiated the divorce process, he failed to attend court on two separate occasions, opting instead to send his legal representative. She also urged him to be present at the next hearing scheduled for June 23.
The Nollywood couple confirmed their relationship publicly in 2022 before getting married later that same year.
At the time of filing this report, neither Frederick Leonard nor anyone representing him had released an official statement addressing reports of a separation from Peggy Ovire.
