Nigerian music star Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, has once again sparked public conversation after making a strong statement regarding his spiritual convictions and personal philosophy.
The celebrated Gongo Aso singer shared his thoughts in a video posted on his verified Instagram page on Sunday, June 22.
In the clip, he spoke passionately about the immense love, respect, and admiration he has for his parents, whom he regards as the most important figures in his life.
The video, which has since gained widespread attention online, showed the singer expressing heartfelt appreciation for both his mother and father. He explained that they hold an exceptional and deeply revered position in his life.
Speaking further, 9ice stated that he does not direct worship toward any other spiritual entities, maintaining that his parents embody the highest form of divinity he recognizes.
He said: “I love my mum, I love my father, I love my dad. My God is my mum, my father is my God.”
The singer went on to clarify that his personal worldview differs from conventional religious doctrines.
“I don’t believe in inferior gods,” he added, a remark that has continued to generate intense debate and varied interpretations across social media.
