A young man has stirred reactions on social media after revealing his 2026 UTME result, especially after admitting he only began studying a few days before the exam and did not attend any tutorial classes.
Score Surpasses Cut-Off Mark
The candidate disclosed that he checked his result in the morning and discovered he scored 215, which is above the 180 cut-off mark required for his intended course of study. Despite his limited preparation time, the outcome left him pleasantly surprised and excited.

Sharing his experience online, the candidate, identified as @Jolayemi Israel, wrote:
“Good morning everyone, I just checked my result this morning and got 215 (cut-off mark is 180). The funniest thing is I didn’t even go to lesson; I only started reading a few days to the exam.”
Fear, Prayers, and Unexpected Outcome
He also revealed that he was initially too nervous to check his result and had delayed doing so out of fear. According to him, he said a prayer before finally going through the process.
He wrote:
“This can only be God’s doing because I never expected this. All this time I’ve been scared to check my result, but God came through for me because I prayed to God not to put me to shame and not to make all my efforts go to waste. By the way, this is my first JAMB. Remember to pray before writing your exams. I wish you the best.”
