Raheem Olasubomi Okoya, the son of billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, has shared the inspiring account of a longtime Eleganza employee whose dedication to the company spanned nearly five decades before his son succeeded him in the same role.
On June 19, 2026, SirRaheem took to Instagram to share a video featuring an elderly security officer who spent 49 years serving within the Eleganza group.
During their conversation, the veteran guard reflected on his journey with Razaq Akanni Okoya and recalled his involvement during the formative years of what would eventually become Eleganza Industrial City Limited.
According to the retired staff member, his relationship with the business mogul began when he was still a young man.
Over time, he earned Okoya’s trust and was assigned responsibility for security operations at the ceramics factory, one of the earliest ventures established by the company.
Sharing details of the encounter, SirRaheem described it as a meaningful opportunity to engage with someone whose commitment and contributions helped shape the success of the business empire.
“Today I had the pleasure of connecting with a man who worked with Eleganza for 49 years as our head of in-house security across various branches. He first met my dad as a young man when my dad was developing his factories, and my dad trusted him so deeply that he went on to head our security unit at the ceramics factory, one of the first of its kind at the time. An incredible story of resilience and loyalty.”
The music artiste further paid tribute to individuals whose efforts contributed to the growth of the Eleganza brand.
He also revealed that the security officer’s son, who spent his childhood around the ceramics factory environment, has now assumed his father’s former position and currently leads security operations in the same division.
“Eleganza is forever grateful to the key people who helped build this empire. His son, born and bred in our ceramics factory, has now come of age and taken over his father’s duties, heading in-house security in that very area. A truly remarkable story.”
