Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has spoken about the painful loss of his colleague and close friend, Alexx Ekubo. Reports revealed that the actor died on Tuesday after spending several hours on life support.
He was said to have been rushed to the hospital on Monday after quietly battling liver cancer for months, which reportedly explained his disappearance from social media.
Reacting on Instagram, Godwin said the news of Alexx’s death left him shattered, describing the late actor as someone whose passing was never expected.
He also revealed that learning Alexx had already prepared his will before his death deeply affected him.
“I’m struggling to find the words. This news has truly broken me. Nollywood has lost a rare soul, and I’m lost for words because this wasn’t the plan, Alex Ekubo. To think you already prepared your will—It’s a heartbreak I can’t quite describe. Rest well, my friend 🥺”
Writing further, Godwin expressed anger over the illness that claimed Alexx’s life, highlighting the pain felt by those close to the actor.
“Goodnight Alex. Cancer you did this one 🥺💔”
