Nigerian music executive and socialite Soso Soberekon has responded after Carter Efe raised concerns about his unpaid prize money following his celebrity boxing match with Portable.
The widely publicised bout, which gained massive attention online, saw Carter Efe emerge as the winner, with a ₦50 million reward announced for his victory.
The prize was initially confirmed by businessman E-Money shortly after the fight, assuring that the payment would be fulfilled as promised.
However, days after the event, Carter Efe took to a livestream to express frustration over the delay in receiving the money.
He stated that he had put himself at risk during the match and deserved to be paid promptly, stressing that the prize should be released without further delay.
Reacting to the situation on Wednesday, May 6, Soso Soberekon addressed the issue via his Instagram story.
In his post, he called out to Carter Efe directly, informing him that the money was ready for collection.
He urged the skitmaker to come forward and receive the ₦50 million prize the same day, indicating that the issue could be resolved immediately.
He wrote:
