A Nigerian woman working as a doctor with the National Health Service in the United Kingdom has drawn attention online after sharing details of her monthly earnings and expenses.
The doctor, identified on TikTok as @lifewithmoneeka, posted her payslip, revealing that her take-home salary after deductions stands at £3,389.66.
She also provided a detailed breakdown of how she manages her monthly budget.
In the caption of her post, she wrote:
“Budget my monthly salary as a Less than Full Time NHS doctor. I always end up overspending on the “entertainment/going out” part… but YOLO right? Tell me one thing you always overspend on.”
Explaining her expenses, she said:
“Bills: 665 (this is my half of our joint bills each month). Rent: £475 Electricity and gas: £77 Council tax: £66 Water: £36.5 , Broadband: £11.”
She further clarified her housing situation, adding:
“Yup its 950 for a 2 bed duplex and i split this with my partner. Most people think doctors earn a lot of money but we dont.”
The doctor also highlighted spending on professional fees, transportation, food, and leisure.
After covering all expenses, she disclosed that she spent a total of £2,142, while the remaining £1,247 was set aside for a property fund.
