A video serving rounds online captures the moment a blissful atmosphere turned sour due to a couple’s adamance.
In the clip, the man who had made necessary arrangements to propose to his lover invited her to the venue and as usual, she was stunned upon seeing the set-up.
Without wasting much time, the man swung into action to pop the big question. Standing opposite his lover, he simply asked if she was going to marry him.
Initially, the lady was superexcited but her enthusiasm began to diminish when the man refused to kneel but rather stood to upright to propose to her.
Despite persuasive echos from people urging her to say yes, the lady insisted that the man should kneel, adding that it’s the norm.
The man on his part adamantly refused, emphasizing that it wasn’t compulsory.
After several back and forth, the lady walked away from the venue, telling the guy to contact her only when he is ready to propose properly.
