A lady identified on Facebook as Bright Adaugo Mbaegbu is currently trending online courtesy of her contrasting post amid reports of Nollywood actor, Odira Nwobu’s death.
Bright Adaugo who claims to have Odira Nwobu’s personal contact shared the message she sent to him on WhatsApp immediately the news about his death before circulating on social media and she replied with the acronym, ‘Lol’ (Laugh out loud)
The screenshot of the chat also showed that the actor called her at the exact moment too and according to her, she picked and he addressed her in his usual manner.
She noted that the call wasn’t a long one and when she asked about the news, he simply laughed and said he’ll call her back which he hasn’t done uptill this point.
Sharing the chat with occurred around 11am today, 24th November 2025 (the moment his death report broke out), she wrote:
“I want to believe this is not true. I can’t type that three letters Odera.”

Speaking further, she wrote:
“I picked this call, I heard your voice and I asked you what’s going on and you said you will call me shortly.
This is the contact we have been talking with for years Od.
I’m waiting for you to call back o.”
“I picked and the person from the other line called my name exactly the way he calls it and when I asked him about the news, he laughed and said he will call me back.”
