Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has explained why he has never appeared in any of Funke Akindele’s movie productions, despite his remarkable five-decade career in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The 66-year-old actor made this known during an interview with Bae U on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, which was published on YouTube on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
When the host asked Yemi Solade whether he had ever featured in one of Funke Akindele’s films, the actor gave a straightforward response. According to him, the actress and filmmaker has never reached out to him.
Solade revealed that throughout his many years as an actor, Funke Akindele has never invited him to feature in any of her movie projects.
