Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has opened up about a personal moment he had shortly before heading to his polling unit to cast his vote in the governorship election.
The governor disclosed that he visited the grave of his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, and asked for his prayers before proceeding to vote.
According to Adeleke, the visit was not connected to any ritual or traditional practice. Rather, he described it as a deeply personal gesture that helped him gain emotional and psychological strength before participating in the election.
Adeleke speaks about his late brother
The governor explained that he went to his late brother’s graveside and spoke to him, asking him to pray for him before he left for the polling unit.
Adeleke said the decision was motivated by the emotional boost he derived from remembering his brother at an important moment in his political journey.
He stressed that the visit was simply a personal way of drawing strength from the memory of his late sibling and preparing himself mentally for the election.
