A heartfelt interview granted by late Nollywood actress Tope Osoba before her passing has resurfaced online, touching many fans as they continue to mourn her death.
The interview, conducted by Oyinmomo TV in September 2025, saw the actress reflect on her battle with breast cancer and the emotional challenges she faced during treatment.
One of the most heartbreaking revelations was her account of being told by doctors that the medications required for her cancer treatment could affect pregnancy, meaning she would not be able to conceive for about five years.
Recalling the difficult moment, Osoba said:
“I was told I had cancer and that further tests would be carried out to check how far it had spread. The doctors also said I wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next five years because of the medications I’d have to take, as they could affect the baby.”
The actress, who was 38 at the time of the interview, admitted that the diagnosis and its implications were devastating. However, she said she refused to give up hope.
She explained that she relied on medical treatment while also praying and fasting, believing God would see her through the difficult period.
According to Osoba, subsequent medical examinations brought encouraging news, as a CT scan showed the cancer had not spread. She also underwent another surgery to remove the remaining tumour.
Since news of her death broke on Wednesday, August 5, many fans and colleagues have remembered her as a courageous woman who faced life’s greatest challenges with remarkable strength.
For many of her admirers, the resurfaced interview now serves as a moving reminder of the silent battles she fought and the hope she held onto throughout her journey.
